Booking and Before Your Appointment
How do I book an appointment?
Call or WhatsApp WHPT Pakistan at 0334 8205557. These are our preferred booking methods because our team can understand the main concern, check availability, and confirm the appointment directly. You may also submit an online appointment request when the form is available.
Is an online form submission a confirmed appointment?
No. An online form is an appointment request. Your booking becomes final only after our team confirms it by phone call or WhatsApp.
Do you accept walk-in patients?
Yes. Walk-ins are accepted, but an appointment is encouraged. Booking ahead helps us match you with the appropriate clinician and may reduce waiting time.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Same-day appointments may be available depending on the service and clinician schedule. Call or WhatsApp as early as possible to check.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
A referral is not usually required for an initial physiotherapy enquiry. Some post-surgical, neurological, medically complex, or insurance-related cases may benefit from reports, medical instructions, or coordination with another healthcare professional.
Can I request a particular physiotherapist?
Yes. You may request a specific clinician. Final confirmation depends on availability, professional suitability, and the type of care you need.
Can I request a female physiotherapist?
Yes, subject to availability. Calling before your visit is the best way to confirm a female clinician and the most suitable appointment time.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring relevant prescriptions, imaging reports, surgical notes, discharge documents, previous treatment records, and a list of important medications when available. These records can support assessment, but care can still begin when older documents are not available.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows the relevant body area to be assessed and moved. For example, loose trousers or shorts may be useful for a lower-limb assessment, while a comfortable top may help with shoulder or spine examination.
Can I send reports before the appointment?
Yes. You may send relevant reports through WhatsApp before the visit. Please avoid sending unnecessary private information and confirm that the number belongs to WHPT Pakistan.
Do you offer online or video consultations?
No. WHPT does not currently offer online or video physiotherapy consultations because remote contact may not provide enough information to assess movement, function, safety, and the likely source of symptoms accurately. An in-person assessment helps reduce the risk of incomplete or misleading conclusions.
Assessment and Treatment
What happens during the first assessment?
We begin by listening to your main concern, medical history, symptom behavior, daily limitations, and goals. The clinician may then examine movement, strength, mobility, balance, function, or other relevant findings. The exact assessment depends on the service and condition.
Will treatment start during the first visit?
Treatment may begin when it is appropriate and safe to do so. In some cases, the first visit focuses mainly on assessment, education, medical precautions, or referral decisions.
How long is an appointment?
Appointment length can vary according to the assessment, service, clinical needs, and treatment plan. Our team can provide more specific guidance when confirming your booking.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no responsible universal answer. The number and frequency of sessions depend on the condition, severity, duration, medical factors, functional goals, response to care, and participation in the home plan.
Do you sell fixed physiotherapy packages?
No. WHPT does not automatically sell a fixed package before understanding the case. Session frequency and progression are decided according to the individual assessment and response.
Will I receive home exercises?
Many patients receive exercises, activity guidance, or self-management advice when these are appropriate. The plan should match your condition, ability, goals, and current stage of recovery.
Is soreness after physiotherapy normal?
Some people experience temporary muscle soreness or mild symptom awareness after assessment or exercise. Severe, unusual, escalating, or persistent symptoms should be reported so the plan can be reviewed.
What if I am not improving?
Tell your clinician clearly. We may reassess the diagnosis-informed plan, modify treatment, review adherence and load, or recommend medical investigation or referral when appropriate.
Can WHPT communicate with my surgeon or doctor?
Yes. With appropriate consent and contact details, we can support referrals and communicate relevant rehabilitation information with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Can I stop treatment when I feel better?
You are always involved in decisions about your care. Before stopping, it is useful to review whether pain has improved but strength, movement, balance, endurance, or return-to-activity goals still require attention.

How is my information handled?
We aim to discuss and document information only for legitimate care, administration, referral, payment, or legal purposes. Avoid sending highly sensitive information through public social-media comments.
Can a caregiver be involved in neurological rehabilitation?
Yes. Caregiver participation can be valuable for transfers, mobility, safety, home exercises, communication, and daily routines when the patient consents and the clinician considers it appropriate.

Some people continue independently, while others benefit from structured fitness, strength, mobility, nutrition, or martial arts support through Alpha Fitness & Martial Arts Club. WHPT and Alpha remain separate services with different professional roles.
Is personal training the same as physiotherapy?
No. Physiotherapy is clinical assessment and rehabilitation. Personal training is a fitness service. A person may transition from WHPT to Alpha when the clinical phase is sufficiently complete and fitness becomes the main goal.

A FAQ Should Guide the Next Safe Step
General answers are useful for preparation, but they cannot diagnose an individual problem or replace assessment when symptoms are severe, unusual or changing.
WHPT uses FAQs to clarify processes, professional boundaries and common expectations. The clinical plan still depends on the person’s history, examination, risks and goals.
Use general information to prepare—then use assessment and clinical reasoning to decide what applies to you.
Book an Assessment
Share where the pain is located, how it began, whether you can bear weight, which movements aggravate it, and whether you have fever, trauma, leg weakness, numbness, abdominal symptoms, or pain at night.
